Galleries are currently under-going some desperately needed work.
I gather some parts of this site have been run into the ground really by previous administrations and I'm trying to re-vamp it and blow the cobwebs away.

To be honest, a lot of this sites layout and formats were simply drawn out of http://animeotk.com - a good choice to start with but for this site to grow and gain an identity it'll need a lot more personalised work.

To this end, I'm asking all of you to please pay attention when uploading art and TRY to stick it in the right place.

* Lets not have Dr. Comets latest work uploaded into the Manga section.
* Can we get less Yaoi Anal-sex uploaded into the softcore section, please?
* Please stop posting images with "Please don't copy and redistribute without permission" written on them here.
* If you didn't draw it, don't put it into the communal gallery - thats for people to upload their OWN work. This site doesn't have many rules but not uploading other peoples work without crediting them is one I'd like respected.

To Artists here: If you want a gallery, PM me, the restrictions are light.
I'm going to campaign for Ai and Stoner to port the new front-page gallery code from Animeotk over here so that artists get more exposure of their own work.

To uploaders: If you want to upload 80 pages of Doujin or Comic, PM me the NAME of the doujin/comic and I'll create a folder for it before hand. This is better than uploading it into a folder with 500 pictures already.

To everyone: If the species of the furry in the pic you are uploading is known, please ADD that to the keywords - you don't need to write anything more complicated than "Cat" or "Horse". Don't need to add their gender, just adding the type will quickly build up a searchable database.


The tl;dr of that is... Things are changing, try to keep up.

Well, I'm creating a folder for these Banner designs, please grab one of them and stick it up as a banner-link to the site. Artists is what we'd like and contributing members. I don't think our current membership make the site suitable for mature discussion of the kink and - for sure - this is strictly not a personals site.

However~!
I can imagine creating a really vibrant and exciting art site though. I'd love to have artists actually posting their own work here, especially artists on DA and other art sites.

Well, if its Yuri in the Yuri gallery, if its anal-sex put it in hardcore gallery, if its a girl posing put it in the Solo Female gallery...

Although in his case, the point is moot - put it in the Comets Gallery. Artists like him with 10, 20, 30... maybe 150 pictures should be given galleries of their own.
In point of fact, he DID have a gallery, but no-one ever bloody used it, they just span their mouse-wheels and let the pics appear whereever.

The galleries are being re-labled to make it clearer where each image should go~
ANYONE should be able to figure it out for themselves~

I'd like to remove such political things. No, I'm not worried about offending people, it's just not sexy or attractive to post a 7 year old piece of art of a controversial event. Lets keep the tone here warm, funny, friendly and inviting.

This isn't rocket science, my friend ^^ I'm just trying to make the site more accessable.

Thank you so much for doing this for us RobM. We needed something ground breaking to get the site in order. I'm especially glad about how much work your doing with the art gallery. I know for a fact how much work that is, or is going to be, and I respect you so much for working on that.

If we could get more peole, especially great artists like the ones you'd mentioned that would make me and everyone here very happy. I agree about it getting too personal, but that happens when I site has few members. I'll do my best to support by advertising a little, telling a few furry friends in rl most likely. It's not much but at least I'm trying. Also theres a couple of pics here and there that could use deleting, I don't know if you already got them, you probably did, but I'm gonna check and see and send you a link if I find them.

I'm glad you went through the trouble of explaining the details about posting in the gallery. It was getting confusing and people just weren't sure where to put the art. Your explanation gets the point across firmly and I'm sure that things will be much better around here. Thanks for doing all this for the site RobM, I have a whole newfound respect for you for this.

TankCop: Ok I will simply take the pics that have those on them to my digital paint and have the sayings removed before posting them.

Sadly if the real artists saw them they'd know and, well, who knows what they'll do. I think we could get sued, I'm pretty sure. Hmm...
